Les Hill was a co-founder of the Oakbourne League, which was set up in 1973. Prior to this, friendlies were being played from 1971. He created the league as he wanted teams to be able to play competitively and not just friendlies. Alongside this, he had to stop playing football himself due to torn ligaments and he still wanted to be involved in football.
When the league began, he was vice chairman and fixture secretary, he then became league secretary, then vice president and finally he was the president of the league.
The Oakbourne league has had many changes over the years, here are just some of the images of the logo that have changed over the years.
