Acocks
Green Rovers were part of the Solihull & District Oakbourne League for two
seasons. The majority of their existing players then reformed as The Baldwin
Football Club for 2006-7.
Castle
Athletic disbanded following the 2005-6 season. The team had been part of the
league for 3 seasons, but has suffered badly from dwindling numbers. Some players
remain in other teams
Cotterills
F. C. were with the Solihull & District Oakbourne League for just 1 season
(2005/6) They were an excellent footballing side and decide it best for them
to move into another league.
This
side joined late for the 2006/7 season and took the First Division Title. It
was somewhat of a surprise that they decided to leave the league rather than
accept a promotion into the premier.
Selly
Oak Rangers had one season with the league in 2005-2006. Although they planned
to stay for the following season, they moved on. As Richmond Eagles they returned
to us for 2007/2008
Known
as "Victoria Social Club F. C." this team was only with the league
for the 2006/7 season in the Premier Div. Playing together, under different
names, for years they were a fine team.
Cotteridge
Athletic were unable to get their league application in in time for the 2007-8
season although the team had originally intended to stay within the league.
We hope to see them again.
Known
as "Elmdon Heath Swifts" during season 2006/7, the team struggled
to get a team out & hit financial problems as well. They were a good bunch
of lads and we were sorry to see then go.
