The league council ultimately have the right to deem that a certain action, or groups of actions, by a specific team or teams, has brought the league into disrepute.

Some of the more serious issues that are covered within the directives framework, such as Team Responsibility, Alcohol Control, Behaviour of Players, Team Officials and Supporters would be automatically looked at by council as being potential issues that would bring the league into disrepute.

Any blatant disregard, or circumvention, of the league directives would also be issues that would fall into the category of bringing the league into disrepute.

Any form of attack (verbal, physical or threatening) on designated match officials or members of the league committee is also classed as bringing the league into disrepute.

Any issue that is, therefore, deemed to have brought the league into a position that is not in the best interest of the league and the majority of member clubs will be judged to have brought the league into disrepute.

The consequences for any team who is charged with bringing the league into disrepute are decided by the league council. They could include fines (not exceeding £200.00), team suspensions (with the team forfeiting any scheduled fixtures whilst serving any such suspension) and, even, immediate expulsion from league membership.

As with all council decisions, teams have a right to appeal. (See directive 27)
