11(a) GENERAL DE-REGISTRATION OF PLAYERS
With teams allowed a restricted number of players to be registered to play with their team, at any one time, clubs may wish to de-register players to make room in the squad for new signings.
To de-register a player from any team the club concerned must fill in a de-registration form and return it, together with the relevant player ID card. Clubs should note that no de-registrations will be processed without the correct paperwork and a returned ID Card.
If a team has the league maximum of players registered and wishes to sign someone else, they must effect a de-registration by sending in the correct form and ID card and have it processed by the league registrations secretary prior to any application and the process of a new player registration. By arrangement with the registrations secretary teams may be able to cover both procedures at the same time.
If players are de-registered due to any debts owing to the parent member club, the league registrations secretary should be advised accordingly and that player would then be barred from applying to join another team within the league until such time as the original debt is cleared.
11(b) DE-REGISTRATION IN CONJUNCTION WITH PLAYER TRANSFER
Teams should be aware of the procedure for transferring players from any one team to another within the Solihull & District Oakbourne Football League. (Directive 11(a))
Players who are de-registered from one team and then apply to join another, within the same season, will be treated as if they are being transferred.
De-registration of a player
will not remove the fee payable, by themselves or the club they are signing
to, for transfer.
