There
is very little that can not be incorporated into a website. In reality a site
can be built in many ways with differing themes to suit the types of people
that will make up the majority of the people viewing it. Football sites are
all about facts and figures. The general viewer wants the details and statistics
at his fingertips, with a simple and user friendly menu orientated option
package. Hearts and flowers (terminolgy for fancy animations) are generally
left to a minimum and the details are presented in a straight forward manner
that makes easy viewing. Certain football sites are aimed at juniors and these
tend to be the much more flowery as the site master is trying to catch their
attention to details with the use of fancy moving objects, comic screens and
rollovers.
The
Oakbourne site is a detail packed information site showing all aspects of the
football league from the basic history to the latest team fixtures and results.
It incorporates everything from player statistics to squad pictures. The site
is being constantly updated. It goes without saying that sometimes details are
not always correct and a site master will rely on vigilant viewers to advise
of any such errors that may appear within the web site pages..
